first introduction

this is my first post as well as my introduction to steemit.

My name is Matt McGuire.
Born on August 7, 1993, grew up in Brisbane, Australia.
At the age of 6, I opened my first drum kit at Christmas and started playing with Buddy Holly, Elvis Presley, Led Zeppelin & Phil Collins.
Little did I know, this is what I was born with.

Drumming for me is how I express my emotions and passions. It is a great feeling to be played in a way that makes the audience feel what you feel. Explore every genre thoroughly and keep an open mind for new sounds, making my game unique with endless creativity.

Connecting to every piece of music I play is very important. This allows emotion to flow & energy to light up. Techniques & visual performance while complimenting music is the key to how I play. Performances with explosive energy & energy left a mental signature for the audience to remember my unique style.

Struggling to push the boundaries and limitations of the game, I threw away my social life at a young age to focus on rigorous training and improve one day become an icon playing with the same musicians and producers. Since I was pulled onto the stage to play alongside Ndugu Chancler (drummer Michael Jacksons) in 2004, it gives me the ever-lasting motivation to pursue my dreams.
