I was having the same problem only with my profile photo
What I found when you go to one of the photo apps to load your image you have 4 addresses you can copy
Copy the one that is the direct link not just the URL link
That was only for my profile pic this worked

That's weird. I've used the same method to change all my profile pictures in the past
