GET TO KNOW MY CREATIVE SIDE, THE REAL ME! GET TO KNOW IONESCU!

in #introducemyself7 years ago (edited)

Hello dear steemians!

Ionescu here.

I would like to introduce to you one of my earlier improv projects called Gianni Versatil.

It started around 10 years ago with these guys in the video.

It evolved later into MALANAL.

One day I rediscovered my passion for singing and joined them in sessions of pure exorcism!

I kid you not.

You came out of those sessions a new man.

Of course at first I sang the lyrics of the people that marked me.

The first track's lyrics belong to Nick Cave.

As you can see the tracks are practically opposed to eachother:

The second track's belongs to Leonard Cohen.

Yet again the tracks are as opposed as day and night:

But little by little I started dropping my own thoughts and this track came out:

Because of what I've listened to as a kid I always tend to give a hip-hop vibe to the moment and also very punk when I feel like it.

Of course, none of it would be possible without my band mates!

Anyway, this is me opening up. I await feedback.

Peace, love and respect.

That was a great track. Thanks for the share. It was fantastic to listen to!

Thank you! Which one did you like

Cool story.

If you get kicks out of singing/ performing you gotta find a way to keep it on. Thats some part of you that need to be stimulated.

Serious heartache in "It aint gonna rain..." Like it a lot!
Avalanche was not my favourite.
Huff huff huff... Sounds like 70s art rock. I like it, even though it is maybe a bit dark for most ppl :-)
Butcher I liked a lot.
Had to listen to Scotty, since I am a Star Trek fan. :-)

Generally I think you sound like a crossover from Captain Beefheart and Doors. Not the worst guys to be compared too :-)

PS I would try to put up som labels like #livemusic or #originalmusic (They seem to get a lot of upvotes.)

Lets make love, is great too!

those tracks are totally improvised! lyrics too! in that same moment they are recorded. these songs are part of jam sessions that lasted for hours. and we just recorded them with 2 mics. one akg c414 and a shure 58

Thanks a lot for the listen dude and for the kind words of inspiration.
I try and get together with the guys as much as I can but right now beeing a daddy and all, I gotta work 10 hours a day which doesn't leave much room for activities other than taking care of my little one and posting an article or a track on steemit lol.
I want to start investing in crypto soon though. maybe in a couple of years time I can have more time for music and arts in general, photography and video.
And no NOT AT ALL! Captain Beefheart and old Jimmy are not bad to be compared too lol.
Thanks a bunch again!

I love music, and can listen to everything. So no problem.

But think about the labels you use. They are key in generating upvotes.

i will keep that very much in mind my friend.
peace, love and respect!

Good work there. Please keep up such greatness!
