Here's my very first post

Well, helloo Steemit!

I've always thought it wasn't easy to tell a short story about myself that would let everyone know what kind of person I really am.

I guess I'll start off saying that my name is Anna, I'm 36 and I live in a beautiful city of Odesa, Ukraine. I speak three languages (my native Ukrainian and also Russian and English) and hope that in the nearest future I will finally have time to learn some other languages too (my options are German and Spanish, I haven't decided which one yet).

I believe that there is no limit to the things one can learn. Learning doesn't end when you graduate form school, college or university — it's an everlasting process (of course, if you are willing to put some effort into it). There are so many opportunities to learn things of all kinds that are just there for you to grab that it seems like a crime if you don't even try.

I guess I am a very curious person. I like making my little discoveries. I would really love to say I'm a smart person, but it seems like every time I start getting used to this idea, Life hits me over the head, rubs my nose in something absolutely new to me and says "Nope". So I go back to being humble.

I love so many things I just don't know where to start to describe them. I love reading — I really love the amazing worlds and places human imagination can create and I enjoy discovering them. I love art — I am no artist myself, not I am an expert, in case you are wondering, but all kinds of art, from architecture to sculpture, from painting to photography, keep me in constant wonder and awe. I love music. I love learning more about culture. I love history... and soo many other things.

I believe I have an ok sense of humor (yeah, I know that there are literally no people who think they have bad sense of humor, but lousy jokes still exist somehow), I love sharing experience and opinions, I'm totally ok with sound criticism and generally, I'm quite a laid back person .

In conclusion, here's one of the things that make my city great to live in. The sea!

I'm glad to be here and hope this will be a great experience. :)

Welcome to steemit @annielee【ツ】Have a happy weekend!

Thank you! Have a great weekend too! :)

Nice to meet you @annielee! I am glad that your post was the first I've read because the format seems so well thought out. The photo of the ocean at the end being a massive plus. I recently explained to my 11 year old daughter about the benefits of imagery, and the way it can help draw a person into what is being said. I may have to show her your image of the ocean. Great introduction. ~dp~

Thank you so much! Visual imagery always speaks to me on so many levels. If you do decide to show this picture to your daughter, I hope she likes it. :)

Hello and welcome. That does look attractive.

Thank you. I'm not so great at photography, but I guess it's hard to take a bad photo of the sea. :)

I love water - the sea, lakes, oceans, gulfs....this picture reminds me of some I have taken at Lake Ontario. I should post one for you to see.

So do I. There's just something so enchanting and relaxing about it.
Do post your photo of the lake! I'll be happy to see it. :)
