Choices and Accountability

Years ago i heard someone said that making choices not neccessarily withhold you from the consequences of that choice. Whatever choice you make, you will certainly have to reap the consequence thereof.

I personally think it's a glorious thing to know that we can choose our course, write our destiny and our destiny can determine our blessings.
It is never too late to choose. Whether we serve our own agenda or others, we will have to choose. We cannot stand idly by to let our lives be dictated to us. In that there are also a choice.

Do our journey stay crested upon our choices? Are we willing to fly high like an eagle, searching for allusive 'prey', to help us soar to greater heights?

A painting that changed my life on how i view my choices.

A beautiful painting that had the most breathtaking picture that portrays so much by hanging on a wall. A stunning pictorial of a waterfall falling rapidly to the bottom of mountainous terrain, building up a storm of steam and mist. This image created a dream like peace where we once walked hand in hand. Among the mist were trees of a green oak forest blocking the view of some unseen future and land beyond. Flying above this swift waterfall was a magnificent bald eagle, with its wings spread out into freedom and protection of the environment below. The only thing missing in that picture were the people, but i could imagine them anyway. There were thousands of people. Some in crowds, others walking alone, others walking two by two.
Each of these different groups chose a path to follow, either the unprotected forest with no direct sunlight to guide the way, or the mist of the waterfall where only mystery and complete blindness led to their destruction, or in the open fields that led to mountainous terrain of slopes and challenges along the way.
Which path do you think you chose?
I think we all chose the same path with different challenges and direction, different slopes. I think we might have chosen a path that allowed the sunshine to shine through. We chose a path that makes us visible to the eagle where he was allowed to watch and shield us from danger, call us, and teach us of future freedom and joy. Along our path led the river and streams of water for us to live and be nourished from. This water gave us strength to survive, to thrive from to overcome obstacles of mountain slopes and opposing forces.

How are we to choose? This beautiful painting promised so much and leave out so much. As we choose different slopes, make different choices, our paths will portray by what we live by.
