THE Hebrew way.

December has truly been a month of blessing, with the arrival of a beautiful bouncing baby girl to the family .Her mother (my sister) put to bed at home in the proverbial Hebrew way.

I would like to share the practice she used to achieve this feat.After testing and confirmation of her PREGNANCY.

She registered for antenatal/prenatal care in a reputable hospital and came for scheduled examinations to check her vitals(Blood pressure,sugar level e. t. c) and status of the foetus(position of the baby in the womb, is the baby coming out head first or otherwise).

At home she controlled the weight of the foetus by controlling her diet as increased foetus size can lead to prolonged labour.

Building strength by engaging in frequent moderate exercises like taking walks, climbing staircases,also strengthening her core muscles with breathing exercises as a strong abdominal core is needed push out the baby.

She also made sure she took her daily pill supplements specific for pregnancy such as folic acid(to prevent malformations), iron and vitamins to protect the pregnancy and endeavoring to meet up with her scheduled appointments.

A week before her expected date of delivery she had contractions that lasted for two hours terminating in the delivery of this bundle of joy!

Now am a proud Uncle for the first time ever, looking to shower my niece with unquantifiable love and attention. Wishing all expectant mothers a Hebrew birthing experience.
