Steem Surf Photo Giveaway [Week 13] Surf & Boats
This is my photo entry for the Steem Surf Photo Giveaway contest put on by @intrepidsurfer. This photo was taken in northern Peru. I thought the boats in the background added a nice effect to the picture. Warm water, surfing, and fishing...what else could you ask for?

We actually have waves here all year long. I myself like the months of January-March the best because that is when the water is the warmest...and the crowds are the smallest. During those months there is also a wider variety of swell direction.
I have been in Ecuador ( mi ex esposa de Ecuador) but never heard of surfing over there. Interesting to hear about that

What is the water temp now in Peru.I know it is influenced by the cold current coming all the way up from Chile

Chile, Peru, and Ecuador all have excellent surf. Really good surf. Colombia is a hit or miss region because swells don't reach its pacific coastline as much. The past two weeks the water has been chilly here in Lobitos, Peru. It will warm up again next week when swell direction changes. The water temp is about 75 degrees Fahrenheit at the moment...and it is winter time here now. Gets much warmer in the summer months...which is reverse from North America.
