image•••••Takengon, ACEH-Beritalima, - Secretary General of the Marine Tourism Forum (FPDLT) Khalisuddin appealed that tourists visiting Lake Laut Tawar not litter, especially inorganic waste, directly or indirectly.
The call was made by Secretary General of FPDLT Khalisuddin to beritalima.com yesterday on the outskirts of Lake Laut Tawar.
Khalisuddin mentioned, Lake Laut Tawar belongs to us all not only the people of Central Aceh but all the children of the nation but very unfortunate in it has been filled with plastic waste that is not easily soluble for our actions that throw garbage carelessly.
"Let us all to dispose of the garbage in the place that has been provided. "Khalisuddin said as he pointed to the available garbage.
It is said, as in previous years, every Idul Fitri Eid, Eid al-Adha or new year AD, visits to tourist destinations around Lake Laut Tawar tend to increase.
And it certainly will increase the quantity of garbage around the lake that inhabit a number of fish endemic (native fish) such as fish Depik and fish Comrade.
"In addition to disturbing the scene, damaging the environment, inorganic waste also has a negative impact on endemic fish and result in siltation of the lake. Let us raise our awareness of the environment, "Khalisuddin hoped.
According to him recently the condition of Lake Laut Tawar (DLT) is increasingly concerned with the decrease of water quality due to pollution and reduced water discharge. A number of rescue campaign efforts have been carried out by civilian elements. Among tree planting, garbage collection on the DLT ring road, also collection of inorganic waste from DLT base by divers from Gayo Diving Club (GDC).
The lake water covering more than 5000 hectares is transmitted through the districts of Bener Meriah, Bireuen and North Aceh through Krueng Peusangan.
