STRON - Will Steem be an independent platform?

in #intintedao5 years ago

Well, as you know, Steemit Inc was bought out by Justin Sun, sponsor of the Crypto Throne, who has in his portfolio such projects as Tron, DLive and Bittorrent. Here are my thoughts on Justin buying STINC.

What did you buy Justin?!

I don't think Justin knows exactly what he bought. He was convinced that he was buying blockchain with users and technology. The reality initially turned out to be untrue, because of course he bought a Steem interface and STINC tokens.

So we go home, good night...

Problems...?

Justin Sun officially bought something he didn't want and now he's got a problem, and so do we all. Because he bought something he didn't want. Which I think could have serious consequences for Steem.

What Justin wanted, of course, was to take over everything under his wing. And he might want to continue to do so. He can use his stake to help Steem fall. That's my hypothesis.

The second is to help the Tron with Steem. We have various technologies that are not good to the end - voting bots, selling delegations, curators bots and so on. With a lot of money you can earn a lot. And this can lead to the fact that the reward pool will be too small for Steem to develop naturally.

Or am I wrong? You write what you think.

Well ...

The problem I have with sitting on Steem is that the future of the platform is uncertain. While some projects like SteemNova do not generate large costs (as much as the server), DGameMarket, for example, causes such costs because it is a project that uses currency for settlements. A currency that is not known if it will be worth anything in a year or two precisely because of that.

This causes some problem for me. Compared to Dtube, Dlive or other projects I have never received support outside of users. And now I have to provide these users with a good place to grow and develop. After all, they can end up with an empty token.

Bitcoin?

On the SteemNova cottage there was a proposal in which, according to users, it is worth considering Bitcoin, the largest crypto in the world. In my opinion it is a very good idea, but such a migration will take some time. However, it is a really fast developing technology, where:

  • It has its own social networks (e.g. RSK Labs has bought the biggest Spanish social network Taringa) or Zapread (I like this platform)
  • With Lightning Network we have fast and cheap transactions
  • There are a lot of services that aren't on Steem. For example, you can shop in Amazon or buy top-ups for phones.

And I'm starting to think slowly about moving to this platform. But I'd like to know your opinion. Would you like to switch to Bitcoin yourself? How do you view the situation with Tron? Do you have any questions?
