How does it work?
Our Maxis Speed Test is one of the most advanced tests available. We use speedtest.maxis.com.my as our server and send you to that URL during testing, then we collect your IP Address and upload/download speeds from there after a few minutes have passed by. This ensures that you get accurate results at all times!
Why should I do a Maxis Speed Test?
There are many reasons why you should do a Maxis Speed Test. One reason is purely for fun, another reason is that it's the law (in Malaysia) to know what type of Internet package would suit you best. You can use this test to find out what your connection speed really is so that you have something to compare to when you visit your ISP later on, especially if you are thinking about upgrading your connection.

Follow this link and click on "New test". Please note that while performing the test, avoid another heavy bandwidth usage such as streaming or downloading because this will affect your results. Position your red marker over your house (or closest landmark). Double click near your house to let the system start the test. After about a minute, results will be shown in an easy-to-read graph. Click on the link below that states "Share" and you will see your result!

We do not keep any record of IP Addresses or test results. IP Addresses are automatically deleted after 24 hours while test results are deleted after 14 days.
