Strange, but funny domains "emoticons"
Recently met a couple running sites with emojis in the form of address.
Of course I understand that the future of such domains is more than doubtful, but it's funny how the marketers decided to beat a rapid growth in visits to websites from mobile devices.
On the technical side everything is very simple and implemented by transformation to the combination of characters (punycode).
Also with the emoticons, each emoticon has its own combination, and typing i❤️.ws, we're serving xn--i-7iq.ws, or ☎.com to xn--y3h.com
Here's an interesting article, which has already gathered more than 200 domains in a popular area .com
