YOUR REAL IDENTITY IS NOT HIDDEN AT ALL

When you are sitting all on your own in your study or bedroom working on your computer, it is easy to think that no-one can see you. It is true, no one can see you, because you use your computer as a mask.

Dissimilar to a mask, your computer does not disguise your real identity. You may feel far removed from your social networking pages or emails, but the people who read them are very conscious that those words or pictures are directly from you.

Cyber-bullying must not always be portrayed as intentional, it can be because of badly worded comments which make them sound more insensitive as anticipated. Words can be interpreted differently by different people. It demonstrates how difficult it is to make sense of the mood of your posts, comments or emails, in the absence of facial expression, tone of voice or body language. Depending on the frame of mind of the recipients, comments like COBD or ASAP or Whaaaat!!!!, can either be snappy or can be interpreted as respectful, because there is nothing else to go on to.
There are several phrases or words that are best said in person, because you can easily identify the meaning behind what is said, by the person's facial expression, tone of voice and body language.

Rude Posts or Emails

I myself has sent out rude emails only because of my perception and interpretation of certain emails. I must admit, I was sometimes too sensitive and were jumping into conclusions, before thinking it through.
When you receive rude mails, don't become hateful and turn your anger back at someone, if you do, you become a participant in an argument you don't want to be in.
Therefore, it is so important to go carefully through the content you wrote, with a rational mind and filter what and how you wrote, before hitting the send key. By acting on impulse, you are drinking from the same well. Don't be shy to apologize when you've done something offensive. If other people continue to be rude don't waste your time, instead kill them with kindness

Before Computers

Before computers, when people use to write letters, they would think long and hard about the content of the letters, before posting it.
Internet is so rewarding in the sense that you can write a sentence or two really fast and send it on its way, but before you send it, reflect on the content first.
