I helped my uncle in-law with remodelling his warehouse

*** Translation was made by @breezy5422 ***

After doing a great job in floor job, I worked on it with confidence. It turned out to be an epic fail :(. I am sorry, cousin in-law

1. Working on oil primer.

After getting a big warehouse, my cousin in-law did a good job of expanding its space all by himself. Fyi, my cousin in-law is a newbie who spent most of his life in teaching high school students and working as an IT specialist as a side job, became a panel expert after working hard this time.

We could not help him with it since it was harvest season for crops. However, this time we took some time off for helping him with floor work. Of course, it is mandatory to clean everything before we start working on it.

Before working on Mortar, we should do under coat... This is the most important thing. Make sure you paint it 2~3 times, otherwise a big disaster may happen just like our case.

IMG_6714.jpg
Paint corners with brush, and paint the rest with rollers.

This is when everything was great!!! T.T

IMG_6721.jpg
If you work hard on painting with rollers, floors will be completely done. What we did not do was we only painted it once. In fact we had to paint it twice after 2 hours of drying.

2. Mortar work

IMG_6725.jpg
After mortar work, we tried to do some lining however it got so late that we decided to do mortar work only.

IMG_6726.jpg
Pour mortar into the barrel.

IMG_6728.jpg
Pour a hardner as well.

IMG_6731.jpg
Pour 400ml water and stir it!!!!!
Two people should keep stirring it, while the other two just spread mortar with knives. Mortar gets hardened fast so it is much more efficient to work on it together.

IMG_6732.jpg
After mortar work, it should have this beautiful shape!!! Now everything looked great except for cemented parts.....

IMG_6734.jpg
IMG_6739.jpg
As you can see, it looks like surface of the moon.

Another mistake made by us!!

IMG_6733.jpg
We should have spreaded mortar more thinly...however volume wasn’t enough T.T
Mortar work, done by newbies, were finished and we said we would work on in again sometime soon.

IMG_6738.jpg
We worked really hard on Saturday, and Sunday. However, it didn’t turn out so well.. now here is a picture of us after work, shout out to my cousin in-law for taking this picture. Oh and my eldest brother could not participate in it since he had work shift that day.

Guys, if you guys gotta do Mortar and lining work, please make sure you do a great job on under-coat. Basics make the best results. Besides it saves costs.

Thank you for taking the time to see my post, and shout out to @breezy5422 for translation. With that being said, have a wonderful day guys.
