Our home, Earth is the only planet to support life in all its forms, whether it is unicellular micro-organisms or a complex human being. The perfect climate, atmosphere, temperature, and presence of essential elements for human life is what makes the earth unique among all.

The planets Mercury, Venus, Earth and Mars are the four innermost planets of solar systems. These are known as terrestrial planets.

Our earth is the largest of the terrestrial planets being on the third position from the sun.

1. Coldest Temperature (minus 89.2 degree Celsius) - The coldest place on Earth is Antarctica’s Vostok Reasearch station. On July 21 1983 the bone chilling temperature of minus 128.6 degree Fahrenheit (minus 89.2 degree Celsius) was recorded. It was a summer though, (a cold summer).
2. Hottest Temperature (58 degree Celsius) - Now, talking about the title of hottest place on Earth which was took over by El Azizia, Libya. The highest temperature of 136 degrees Fahrenheit (58 degree Celsius) was recorded on Earth surface on September 13, 1922. The hottest temperature ever recorded. Yes! Too hot to handle.
3. Unexplored ocean- We are quite aware of the facts that around 70% of the Earth surface is covered by oceans but do we know that we humans, have explored hardly 5 percent of earth’s oceans. 90 percent of it is yet to explore leading to unidentification of 25 million of marine species yet. Strange!!
4. The Deep Sea- The coverage depth of an ocean is about 3,688 metres (12100 feet) where sunlight can’t penetrate more than 200 metres. The deep sea is a lowest layer in ocean which is extremely dark because of the absence of a single photon deep down there.
5. The Earth’s Core has enough gold to cover the entire earth’s surface in 13 inches but unfortunately it is 1800 miles deep inside below the earth’s surface and at horrifying temperature of many thousands of degrees.
