The path of intelligence.

To "refine", to distill the sufferings of our mortality into a glistening jewel of wisdom and hope that echoes through the ages. We are all learning from each other. We are here for no other reason than to understand. Understanding is the highest aim. Understanding is the contemplation of what is, asking truly who am I and what is existence, being perfectly strong enough to realize you haven't the faintest clue about what is going on all around us. Existence. You. Me. Language. Communication. Understanding. All this is impossible. And yet it is. How strange that there exists anything at all whatsoever. The more odd it is, the more this reveals the even. The formal expression is formless ingression. Boundaries of difference are coterminous with boundaries of unity. My self is not your self, and the Self we share in common is beyond those selves. It always was and forever shall be. It can never have been otherwise. The intellect grows only so sharp before it cannot cut through itself. The task of life is to grow in intelligence, fundamentally. More and more I come to realize this. The sign of an extremely intelligent person is the way in which he moves, and this encompasses both his thought movement, his physical movement and also his speech. The way of those on the path of intelligence are those seen perpetually in a state of flow, and this flow means ever decreasing instances of hesitation to act. There is no doubt, because there is simply clarity. And clarity like a lightbulb requires energy. And for a flame to burn clear and bright, it must have a clean fuel.
