Curation Trail for Independent News - @insteem

You asked for it, you'll get it. Several members of @insteem asked us already to set up a curation trail for independent news. So we gave it some thoughts. Now its up and running on SteemAuto by @mahdiyari.

How does it work (Policy)

1. @insteem will consider all posts with the tags news and insteem for an upvote (minimal requirement)
2. Voting will be determined by the following points:
   1. Posts should fit into a news category (see Insteem) or be a journalistic report
   2. Posts will be checked for spam, unique content, plagiarism etc.
   3. Voting powered will be determined by quality, length of the article, creativity by our editors (all subjective)
   4. Posts attached with Powered by [Insteem](https://www.insteem.com), the News on Steem) will get an extra of 10% VP (if they qualify for an upvote)
   5. The chance for an upvote of your own (news) stories increases if you're a part of the trail, the higher your voting percentage is and the sooner your vote is fired after insteem's vote (see steemauto settings)
3. @insteem will vote at least 15 min after publication of a post, not before
4. The Policy is subject to change if necessary or appropriate

How to set up

1. Sign in to SteemAuto with your private posting key
2. Authorize posting via steemconnect (recommended) or steemauto
   
3. Select Curation Trail in the menu
4. Search for insteem
   
5. Choose follow and adjust your settings if you like
