Like a fresh resfreshing breath

of the warm ocean's breeze

the serenity after the storm

tends to bring one to their knees

thankful for the mercy

grateful for the chance

for one had made it through

another deadly natural dance

one wrong step

one misplaced thought

and all is forgotten

all is lost

be wary of and listen to

the warnings from your mom

the flashes and the thunder

that bring about the calm.
