overcoming insecurities

HOW CAN BE A MAN OF REPUTATION BE THE MOST INSECURE
“Know who you are and what you can do is the best cure for insecurities”

There are people who are perceived as brilliant and full of intellect, in fact, most of them have already an established reputation.

OFCOURSE, with that reputation comes great expectations.

Some handled it easily, because they know who they are, what they want and what they are capable of. That they have already proven themselves and need not to do it for nth times.

These people instead of going around and showing off what they can do, look around, discover potentials and become mentors and inspired others to reach or even surpassed what they have achieved for themselves.

But there are those who cannot stop proving themselves, well, there is nothing wrong to this. However, at times these people hinders those around them to grow. For these type of people they must be the one that should always be at the center stage, the stage is for him/her alone, afraid of sharing it to others. These people always highlights their achievements but never give due recognition or praises for those who have contributed to what he/she became.

Instead, they are good in killing the spirit of those around them by making them appear to have done nothing worthwhile;It is because no one, no other is better than him/her.

This environment limits the productivity and creativity of the workforce; not all people maybe as brilliant as them but surely they can contribute something significant to get the task done.

Such a pitiful state, hungry for recognition when he /she have so much of it, or maybe because of that too much that he/she find it difficult to deal with.

What is pitiful is that whom you are depriving of that opportunity to grow is those under you, who looks up unto you as an example, yet, as soon as they know you better the light of admiration in their eyes dimmed and eventually has gone off…

What is left is distrust and disappointment.

They no longer in awe of what you are saying no matter how brilliant it may sound and appear… They will not be amazed by whatever you do, for in reality all of these are just a facade, a front of that little person in you living in insecurity, someone who is unsure of himself and find your identity in the eyes and perception in the eyes of other rather than yourself.
