THAT DISABILITY IS A SETUP

After two minutes of driving Mr Johnson took out a handkerchief from his pocket and wiped his wife's face. Then she said again, "Baby I'm so sorry, you know I love our son. I'm so sorry I made you yell".

"Shuush" Mr Johnson replied "Me yelling was deliberate. I wanted to teach you something. You see what you don't want you don't watch. Prior to this conversation if someone called our child disabled, you would have said things like"It is well", "God knows best" etcetera. But now, if they ask you, what would you say?"

She took her eyes off the road, looked at him with a smile and they both burst out laughing and she said "I'll eat the person raw oh, after what I saw today"

"Sorry for making you cry my angel" Mr Johnson said in a very soft tone. She pouted and said "I don't accept oh, you have to show me how sorry you are tonight."

"Naughty you" he responded. They laughed again and he continued, "Honey, you know, our child can't be disabled, he is rather lucky, extremely lucky. Do you know God is partial? He loves us all but he said he created our son for his own glory. This means he created him to show off. So, it is our job to constantly remind and show him that glorifying God at all times and for all things is the way His glory is revealed in us, and much more, in him."

"Ok love, we will do just that" she said.

Friends stories may be personal but the principles are universal. Don't call yourself disabled, rather glorify God at all times and in all things. Always look at the promises not the problem and watch God turn your weaknesses into strength.
