Authoritarianism in the New World

in #inspiration6 years ago (edited)

When we talk about a cause for change under a government that is increasingly tyrannical and authoritarian, we should consider whether that change is being done for the right reason and with the right provocation, and how that change for the few will affect the rest of the whole. If by intrinsic values and morals of men, under a god with plans unknowable by men, the change is fundamental righteousness and provocation is necessary, then what is best for the few is greatest for the whole. The people, without a voice or much means aside from pooling their mass, must be given justice as only those with voice and means may provide; conversely, the people who by the rule of government are meant to squash justice must be met with mercy, as their station in the community of life has placed them under the authority of the government which they believe has their intrinsic values in mind. Now. Change for the greater good may only happen so that each man and woman may look themselves in the face and believe their cause was god's cause, whether enforcing a rule of law made by men of better station or fighting that authoritarian position. Either way, there must be a point where the convergence of ideological paradigms come together in this continuum between justice and mercy.

The convergence of common ground and common welfare for the whole is the necessity for this change, and there are a few key elements to this transition. The common ground should be acquired by letting the goals of either side be spoken between the sides with the acceptance that, on one side or the other, the goal or goals may not be attained. The common ground should be acquired by writing the goal or goals down, so that the ideas are clearly enumerated in an argument of logic and facts instead of an argument of emotion. The people that lead and the people that follow on either side must establish common ground by being above moral degradation so that there is no evidence of misguided-ness and human rights violation. In the heart of altruism, servants and leaders should not believe they need to receive recognition for their part in the conflict, whether righteous or undignified. The leaders may not be above the people they lead and the people they lead may not be above those that are not involved at all, to acquire change the heart of altruism is necessary. So that through discipline, the nature of the character of the group, fundamental equality, non-violence, non-superiority, and awareness of making the most life-affirming choice, the most positive goal based upon common ground will be acquired.

So tell your friends about your goal. Have your friends tell their friends, and so on and so forth... Grow the common ground. The common ground must be gained to affect change and acquire the goal.

Ghandi once was asked about how he was able to affect change without violence. The answer was simple, and I believe it went something like this. "It was not about what we said, but it was everything we didn't say. It was not about what we did, but it was everything we didn't."
