Thanks for the thorough response @benrosenthalft, I couldn't agree with you more! It seems like people make projections on government to do what they themselves should/could do.

I agree that it is important for individuals to discover their purpose, which is why I think self-discovery is truly the most humanitarian thing one can do, though it may seem insignificant, it is actually the heart of humanity. Everyone has their own piece of the puzzle which makes life feel meaningful, whereas a man with no purpose is likely to drift wherever the elements take him.

I also am so grateful for Steemit and the wonderful community on here, it is truly unparalleled! :)
