Regret Is A Myth
I believe regret only occurs when one is blind to the lessons a life experienced offered.
Sure, there are times in our lives that we did something that wasn’t exactly right.
But, every action happens for a reason.
Every word is said for a purpose.
Wishing that you could go back and undo something would undo something that made you who you are, something that sculpted your life that you live today.
Take your biggest “regret” for example.
What did you learn from it?
Something?
Nothing?
If you learned something, don’t regret your action.
Be thankful for the reaction that is your lesson.
If you didn’t learn something, invest the time to analyze the situation in your mind.
Do not move on from it until you have decoded the hidden lesson.
Sometimes it is the situations that we “regret” the most that shape us and influence us to grow the most.
These times in our lives are definitely not ideal.
Definitely not planned.
But, they can be used for good.
They can make us better human beings.
They can ensure we never make the same mistake twice.
They can make us wiser.
Train your eye to know when wisdom knocks at your door.
Train your hands to always answer that door with no regrets.
