They are coming

That is what you might think when you see the price of Steem rising. It is inevitable that the community is about to spring to life. The influx of new users is a wonderful part of the blockchain. This adds to the multiple levels of each community. The whales didn't become whales by accident, they put the work in at the right time, and supported each other.

As the Steem blockchain continues to grow and the value increases, we are sure to see new users each day. How we respond to new
users will help to shape the platform in the long term. Discord has been a hot bed for growth. Question after question has led to wonderful responses and people coming together.

HOW WE SHOULD BE AS EXPERIENCED STEEMIANS

Whether you want it or not the questions are coming and it is up to us to be able to answer or not. This is what will ultimately shape how a new user will function within the platform. There is good advice, poor advice, and no advice. Instead of being rude, maybe we should be helpful. Instead of ignoring, maybe we should take a minute to steer someone in the right direction. I am not saying that we need to go out of our way to mentor each new users, but just helping those that cross our paths. Just
incase you might need to see it from a different point of view.... when you help someone, they will remember it. You may even end up with a die hard fan.

HOW WE SHOULD ACT AS NEW USERS

Whether you are new to blogging or new to vlogging the goal would be to get involved. In one way or another you need to be seen
by other accounts. When you first begin on Steemit there is nothing you can really do, but read. You read, upvote, and comment.

When wandering our way through post after post we must remember that we are not spammers. We need to remember that someone
worked really hard on what they have posted, and that by responding with a selfish response is not a good way to make a new friend.

We must also remember to not ask for anything from anyone. That is no way to be. Like most, I have also experienced the phrase "follow for follow" or "upvote for upvote". It is important that we remember while we are trolling larger accounts that we remember our position. The chances of them needing your vote is pretty slim....if you sought them out. To use the idea of
you upvoting them as leverage for them to upvote you is not a viable transaction.

We must remember that when we are engaging in a new space that we respect what is happening, and find our own groove. To model
someone you enjoy is good, to try to become them is not. It is important to push your own limits, but doing the things you enjoy doing.

Moving into a saturated space with a million ideas flowing in every direction, it is important to be yourself. Let others find you. Let people enjoy who you are. Brand yourself and your perspective.
