Finding Peace Where You Are

Today was a great exercise in finding peace. While Stacie D was in the grocery, I was left to play on Steemit in the car. The warm sun started to heat up the car and the feeling over took me. I needed to be in it. I needed to feel it on my skin and coming through my eye lids. I jumped at the opportunity...literally.

Before I knew it, I was out of the car and climbing to the top. I was making the effort to feel. I quickly got to the top and sat quietly with my eyes closed.

It took me just a few minutes to lose myself in the sunshine. I had lost myself in the sounds around me. I didn't feel out of place, even though I was on top of the ol' suburban. I am not even sure anyone saw me. Too caught up in there own lives to bother with a wild giant chasing peace on top of his car. 🙃

It rolled over me

The thoughts of peace and caring rolled over me as I listened to the world around me.

The sound of grocery cart wheels rattling.

The squeel of car tires on black top.

The cackle of a diesel truck pulling in near me.

The distant train making its way.

It was the sounds of life all around me. People going about their Saturday, and it was calming.

Comfort zones

I couldn't help but think about the people hustling around me. I wonder what their day looked like. Would they even have a spare minute to sit down. I wonder how many would have joined me on top of the car...

Are our lives a constant bustle and take up our every minute. Do we put off taking care of ourselves for the sake of progress. Are we caught in a perpetual state of forgetting about ourselves.

As we embark each day to chase our dreams are we caught in our comfort zones. When was the last time you did something different.

Finding Peace

Most blogs might be about cryptocurrencies or filled with helpful information. Everyday I read things from how to all the way to funny memes. For me I see the world differently. I live in the rhelm of what if. I prefer to think about how the universe is sewn together. I prefer to make a random post that might challenge or encourage someone. With ideas that range from serious to fairly obscure, the goal is perspective. Today the perspective was on peace. We all have very different lives that require very different things from us. I am certain that we can all agree we would love to feel peace. As I end my final post for the week, I take Sunday to rest, I want to ask you some questions.

Do you feel peaceful?

Do you know what would make you peaceful?

Can you make an excuse as to why you aren't doing what you know would make you peaceful?

Are you able to remove the excuse?
