GOD SPEAKS
As Christians, we need divine guidance, instructions, corrections, rebuke and even warning from God as we run our race here on earth.
Text: Hebrew 1:1-2
"God, who in sundry times and I'm divers manners spake in times past unto the fathers by the prophets, hath in these last days spike unto us by His Son, whom He hath appointed Heir of all things, by whom also He made the worlds"
Hearing from God is meant to be a familiar and daily life experience for a Christian. We need to hear from God concerning every aspect of our lives and decisions we make, no matter how small or trivial, God speaks to us in all that pertain to us, be it in the area of marriage, business, career, academics and other decisions we may need to make.
"God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, hath in these last days spoken unto us by His Son."
God speaks to us His children today in all aspect of our lives. He speaks in our choice of career, in the sense that, we need Him to show us the path to choose the right career for us in other for us not to make some certain mistakes in our future.
There are many other areas God speaks to His children today. These include, where to fellowship, how to handle issues when things are not going well with the believer and all other spheres of life no matter how small.
God's word is infallible. God's word will not draw us far from Him, even if it is a rebuke or warning. It always ultimately brings peace to the heart of the believer. However, loving God's message to us may be, it will not condone sin, and neither will it come to us as an allurement to show n or any form of evil.
1Kings 19:12-13
"And after the earthquake a fire; but the LORD was not in the fire: and after the fire a still small voice. And it was so, when Elijah heard it, that he wrapped his face in his mantle, and went out, and stood in the entering in of the cave. And , behold, there came a voice unto him, and said, what doest thou here, Elijah?.
God speaks to His children today through various ways. This means He decides to use in speaking to us depends entirely on Him. However, God will always use means that will not be strange or confusing in passing His message to us. God can speak to us by means of a still small voice if He so desires or by the inner witness of the Holy Spirit. The spirit yif God helps our infirmity and reveals the mind of God to us concerning any issue we may be faced with.
A believer that hears from God is blessed in many ways. They include among others divine guidance and direction. God directs us in making various decisions about our life in such a manner that we do not make the wrong decisions or take actions that are wrong. We receive strength to persevere even in the face of turbulence. We are assured of our victory and success as long as we adhere to and follow the instructions we have received as regards the natter before us.
Conclusion
As Christians, we must be willing to take divine instructions from our heavenly Father and therefore endeavor to seek audience daily from God who knows the way we should go at all times and in all situations.
