WHO IS A TRUE FRIEND
No individual can live and survive alone, we all need people to shower love upon us. Anytime we feel, discouraged, rejected or dejected ours friends are to lift us up, make us refire.
"A tree does not make a forest."
Friends may minimize or multiply you, stretch or diminish you, help you or hinder you from doing tangible things in life.

Many people choose friends based on outward looks, educational achievements, social status e.t.c. The question is : 'how do you know a true friend and what does a true friend do?'
You can know a true friend by the kind of affection he/she shows.
- A true friend loves all time even during the period of adversity.
- A true friend listens.
- Do not dominate.
- Looks after your interest.
- Lifts you up in times of discouragement, fatigue and stumbling.
- He/she is not selfish.
- Liberates you from psychological disturbance that makes you believe *'you cannot'
- Encourages you to continue rather than give up.
- Assures you with 'I CAN'
- True friends love, learn from, lean on, are loyal to and look out for one another and so much more.
There are things a true friend will not do: - A true friend will not leave you in distress.
- A true friend will never betray you in times of need.
- Will not let you down.
- Will not leak your secret nor limit you

- Accepts and appreciate you.
- would never harm you.
- Cares deeply for you
- Encourages you to move on.
- Helps you without any reservations.
- Protects you without thinking of himself/herself first.
- Nurtures and nourishes you.
- Loves you unconditionally.
- Work for your interest.
- Yearns for you to succeed and zealously supports you.

Know the kind of company you keep because the company you keep today determines how far you'll go tomorrow.

I agree with you.
If I may add, that's just one aspect to friendship.
You attract the kind of people you do, through certain traits you exude. So before looking out for a true friend, you should be sure you are the type of person you would want to have as a friend.
