Fiction characters that inspire you at your daily work, and why
We all have our favorites when it comes to Fictional characters, some of the, inspire us to exceed our limits and work in a way that gives us a challenge and satisfaction of a job well done.
My First pick will be Hatake Kakashi from the Manga series Naruto.
In a world of Ninja wars, he was quickly promoted to captain's position as a kid. Later he became known as the 'Copy Ninja', who copies the enemy and learns their trick instantly, then excels at their own game and adds it to his experience. A master of a 1000 techniques, he knows when he should step down and keeps away from politics.
Whenever i find a quick Excel shortcut or a smart way to handle various folders, A time saving oracle query or a tricky table structure, I immediately COPY it down. It may not be useful instantly, but it helps to keep a track of all the tools available. I have seen many people who hesitate to own a coding technique which is invented by their colleagues or their juniors!, which is harmful in our changing world.
Kakashi is quite an amazing character. He is very average from a biological point of view but is able to overcome many adversity along the way to even to the point controlling a full body susanoo. The persona that he is, is very low key but vital to the story. This a great example of how we individually can play such an important role as part of a larger scheme of things and can grow significantly from pushing ourselves to the next level.

Another one i would pick 'Rincewind' from the discworld series. A reluctant hero who runs away from responsibilities only to head straight into facing the biggest threats.
