Understanding Relationships

Our success in life depends on our relationship with others. In whatever we do, or wherever we may find ourselves, we need each other to succeed. And for this reason we must place value to friends who have been there for us over time. Most often we have missed valuable lessons by cutting off abruptly healthy relationships. Every relationship should be guided by love. Through love we will understand, be genuine, forgive, share, help, respect, and promote others. These are the very attitudes that nurture every relationship to grow. As we face hurdles in life daily, so we encounter challenges in relationships. Relationships becomes stronger by overcoming each difficult moment together. This does not mean one should keep toxic or harmful relationships. As stated earlier, let love guide every form of contact with others.

Knowing that is everyone is unique is key to understanding others and establishing respect for them. Communication plays a key role in the success of any relationship, because it gives us a clearer picture of the pains, emotions, joy, and feelings of others. Apart from communication other attributes that are vital to building a good relationship is faithfulness, honesty, tolerance, and patience. Patience and understanding comes to play when there is difference in attitude of couples. For example one who likes talking much, while the other is reserved in conversation. If you observed any weakness in others, your responsibility is to help them overcome such weakness. Life becomes fulfilled by fulfilling our responsibilities towards others. Selfishness is when we concentrate our energy and thoughts towards ourselves only.
