Life is a school and we are students on earth. Similar to our natural schools, there is a time apportioned for every class, semester, term, and session. So our time on earth is limited, and it calls for proper utilization of every second, minutes, and hour. Do not waste your time on unproductive ventures or things that do not add value to your life. Every experience in life, comes with a lesson, the more we learn, the stronger and better we become. When we neglect, or refuse to accept the lessons from each experience, then we deny ourselves the opportunity to advance and grow. A child that does well in a particular class is promoted to the next class, because he took the lessons that came with his assignments, text, and examination seriously.
No regrets but lessons. When we fail, our attitude is key to overcoming such failure. Take a reflection on what contributed to your failure and avoid the trap next time. Usually it is negative attitudes that leads to failure. Try and will up more energy within yourself to drive you to the next level.
The greatest encouragement and motivation must come from yourself. Yes you may look up to others, but you are the driver and the key is in your hands. Examine everything in the light of Truth and let the truth guide and set you free. No lesson is too small and never throw away past lessons. Little and past lessons may be very valuable in the future. The higher we go in life, the more tougher the challenges. Back then in elementary school we started with 1+ 1=2 but as we went further in class, we were thought 1x + 3x = 4x, until we got to much advanced topics like Integration, Algebra, Calculus. This is a typical scenario of the stages of life and the nature of lessons that comes with it.
From time to time, carry out an assessment of your performance so far, this usually done in the form of reflection and you do this by mirroring a wide range of issues that has contributed or hindered your success. Be honest to yourself during this process, because it is a crucial step to self improvement. Sum up all the positive actions and agree on what steps to take. Remember faith without work is nothing.
yes you are right, we have to evaluate ourselves honestly, being honest to yourself is very important in decision making.

It is no secret to anyone how difficult life is on many occasions and, unless you were born in a golden cradle, you will have to work very hard and sweat drops of blood - not so literally - to achieve what you want.
It is not always fair, but you can still take advantage of every situation to the fullest.

@bestgift, this is a very inspiring post. I believe success in life depends very much on how we use our experiences. The best lessons in life are there to help us succeed and help others to achieve their goals. On the other hand, failures are a very good way to learn and improve ourselves. Personally, taking the positive things out of the negative ones, is a practice that moves me forward, much more motivated to do it better next time, and succeed. Thanks for sharing.
