This is quite a fascinating story you share. I appreciate the dichotomies expressed on New Orleans which relate to your experiences and discovery of people and human nature.

I had visited the French District on my way home from NC leaving the military. Mardi Gras was in full swing but I wasn't there to party.

Tbh it was not very memorable and time would have probably been far better spent elsewhere.
