Preying Mantis Visits Me At Work

Earlier this week while working at the Costco gas station. I was facing away from the wood chips and plants. I flung my water bottle behind myself and tried to catch it, failed.
Went to pick it up and a medium sized Chinese Mantis was on the cap READY TO STRIKE. He must have jumped on it thinking it was potential prey. I gently got him off with a stick, he scurried a way a little. Then i rushed to get my phone and snapped these 3 photos of the cute little guy:
Funny enough i saw him a day or two later. Just chilling, waiting for his next unlucky victim.
