Calosoma Schayeri is Australian Green Carab Beetle species or also known as Saffron Beetle.
Many Carabidae larvae is predaceous. They are very active at night. These Beetle also gives off an unpleasant scent.
They can grow about 22-25 mm with body and elytra of deep metallic green in color, corrugated.

Look at it, it's legs are mighty strong and powerful, it also feed on caterpillars

Never seen one like that. We do get Christmas Beetles in green , gold and pearly colours but not very many this summer.
