Manufacturing Insanity...
There's always been conflict
settled by war
some ignorant leader
out to settle some score
empires that crumble
rotting at the core
while its people stand by
hoping for more
it's hard to believe
we're all so divided
caught up in this fight
purposely misguided
misled by religion
disgruntled by the times
provoking such hatred
unthinkable crimes
willfully accepting
the current state of affairs
condoning the violence
while saying our prayers
what is it we're missing
what don't we get
they always want more
our blood our sweat
when do we say
enough is enough
and live in peace
is it really that tough
where compassion and empathy
outweighs all the hate
and people are free
to love and create
inspire the living
and honor the dead
what makes it so hard
to get that through our head
how long do we wait
stand by and do nothing
closing our eyes
to all of the killing
we live in world
craving humanity
so we do keep --
manufacturing insanity.
I wrote poem because a some jackass with a head and heart full of hate, strapped a bomb to himself and decided it was a good idea to set if off in a crowded subway station 2 blocks from apartment, only 12 hours ago. Is this really what we've evolved too...

Great poetry, the flow is great. Interesting ideas and I totally agree that world has changed through people's greed and envy. It has become more violent because of the sadists and machiavellians.

Man that Idiot should have done that in his own damn place or where no one could get hurt .Man life is becoming a real tragedy for some people as they do not understand the value of life !
