The team of scientists under the leadership of Daniela Ras from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology has presented a prototype of the Primer robot which looks as the cube fastened with magnetic field. A set of such cubes represent the well-known self-organized "swarm" from science fiction. But still small, clumsy and strongly dependent on the person.

The tiny cube is supplied with electromagnetic devices which allow him to somersault in the operating magnetic field in the concrete direction. Having reached the purpose, the robot can "be wrapped" in a thin and flexible leaf of a foil, having built itself similarity of an exoskeleton. It gives him new properties — for example, buoyancy. And at the due level of development of technology it can be transformed to the screw-driver, a drill, a small glider or the transport platform for transportation of goods.
what a fascinating find this is! The use of magnets in new ways and how they will change how things are created and used in the world. MIT is always creating amazing things and I remember when they gave bitcoin to graduates! what an amazing time we live in!
cheers

Robots are the future, large and small. I can't wait till the future. Hopefully I'll be alive long enough to see some marvelous things
Yeah man, the future is exciting!
I'm pretty sure you'll be there to see some awesome stuff. :)
