Specialists of the Russian Space Systems holding company (RKS, part of the Roskosmos State Corporation) have developed an innovative radiation-protective coating for radio electronic equipment that surpasses foreign counterparts in terms of economic and technological characteristics. Its application will make it possible to extend the lifetime of Russian satellites in orbit, to reduce the mass and dimensions of space-based instruments and to give new impetus to the development of small spacecraft. In addition to the rocket and space industry, the innovative coating will be used in nuclear power engineering and medicine. The development is presented at MAKS-2017 aerospace show.
