"Dream Machine" & My Digital Art Process
A friend showed me a cool picture he had taken, so I decided to fuck it up with some crazy digital edits. Links to the apps I used will be at the bottom. I did this all on my iPhone 7.
Here's the starting photo. I screenshotted it from instagram.
Next I cropped it and made some adjustments in Photoshop.
Next comes to the fun part, the kaleidoscope app.
I took the second image from kaledeiscoping and put it into Glitché, an amaaaazing photo editing app. I did several processes and wound up here:
I took these two pictures and the first KaleidaCam image, the red star, and layered them through the Photoshop Mix app. But first I turned the red star green using Photoshop Express.
Then I tweaked colors and added a cool border using PhotoToaster. The text you see in the final product up top was added with an app called R4VE (amazing program that does much more than text).
So that's it. I don't know any other artists that work this way but it's simple and really fun. I encourage you to experiment with the power of your smart phone and the insane number of photo editing apps available, many of which are free or very cheap. Have fun! Please show me what you do by tagging @innerverse and I will be thrilled to check it out!
