Today's holistic challenge

Hello, Folks, this challenge may be difficult for some; I know it can be for me anyhow, but I'm hoping to at least plant a seed within your conscious. I want you to start practicing a pause before responding or reacting to things. We live in a reactive society. People tend to get triggered everytime you turn around, it seems. People let emotions, circumstances, other people's opinions and situations out of their control persuade their response to stimuli. I'm sure you've all witnessed and or participated in this sort of behavior before, right? Don't beat yourself up; we're human; we can be emotional rather than logical at times. It's programmed into us from an early age. It seems to have gotten more prevalent with the advent of social media or maybe our awareness has just been heightened by it. Either way, in this world, the only thing we can control is ourselves, "they" say. Unless someone is threatening you or your loved one's existence, is it really worth the trouble to react to anything? In the grand scheme of things, it really seems that the only one you hurt when you do this is yourself. People don't seem to respond well to opposing views these days or that may just be the narrative that is being pushed for dramatic effect. Either way, I see it daily on social media sites. That's one reason why I've been attempting to lessen my scrolling time. No one needs that kind of negativity in their life. LOL. People have a lot of limiting belief systems, trauma based thoughts/behaviors and self esteem issues that get conjured up during these transactions. But honestly, who cares what other people think? Don't give someone else that kind of power over you. It isn't worth it. Be the writer and creator of your own story. Drive your own vehicle. Never give your keys to another. They aren't living your life nor you theirs. Let them remain ignorant if that's what you believe them to be. They will have to deal with the consequences of their actions in their own time. It's not your responFB_IMG_1550601651953.jpgsibility. What Is your responsibility is You and Your reactions;) If you want to share something that is important to you then by all means do so. Just remember that with actions come reactions so make a conscious decision when doing so and be mentally prepared for another's response. Try to share things with love, respect and integrity, not sarcasm or synicism. There are ways to use the nonaggression principle/nonviolent communication when speaking to others. And if you feel attacked by someone, walk away. No response is a response. You have no obligation to explain yourself to anyone nor they you. People's reactions to you show more about them than it does you.
Most of the time things will unfold on their own and other people will step in and may say the things you want to say without you lifting a finger OR regretting it later. LOL. Take the high road. Many people don't learn lessons unless a situation actually happens to them anyways and my guess is said situations will probably eventually take place. Let people learn their lessons in their own time. We're all here doing what we can with what we know at the time and we all deal with our own repercussions to our actions. The next time you feel someone triggers you, take charge of yourself and PAUSE. Many times you will find that the next day, month, year or even hour later you may laugh it off and wonder why you were even bothered by it in the first place. There's an old saying..."don't sweat the small stuff" and a large portion of the time most of that stuff ends up being small stuff. Don't let that ego or expectations of others creep up on you;) You're better than that! You focus on you and live your life your best.
