The Hunt For Clean Water
The first thought that we have whenever we come into some place that is new is....how do we get some fresh water. We can go low on food. We can forage. We can make due with just a little....but we can't go without water.
In the house where we currently are, the water is just.....not ideal. We had the idea of going and finding water from some locals that might have some amazing wells. We have been through this area before and have met some people that are always friendly. The only issue is having people come to your house, so we had to get creative.
I reached out to a guy that raises cattle kind of near where we are, and he said that we could help ourselves to as much water as we wanted. One of the places where the cows are actually has two wells. One is up closer to an old house, and one is a few hundred feet into the pasture.
So I took The Artist and we went on an adventure. It was a beautiful day, the sun was shining, and the grass is a deep green. It was a good day for a drive into the middle of no where.
Once we got there I tried both of the wells. The one closer to the house had some heavy iron in it and it was a bit orange. That iron build up is natural and usually doesn't build up if you run plenty of water through it. That's what we found with the second well, it was awesome. He would run hundreds of gallons through that second well everyday to water the cows. It was crystal clear!

So I hopped the fence and went back and helped myself. All of the momma cows wandered off, but the little guys were a bit more curious. I had to get a bit louder with some of the one year old steers...they were trying to lick my water jugs haha.

I managed to collect about 24 gallons of crystal clear clean water. It is always touch and go with water. It can be very deceiving. Just because water looks clear doesn't mean that it is actually good to drink. You have to be very careful about things like E Coli.
We knew that 2020 was going to be a heck of an adventure, but I had no idea I would be fetching water from a cow farm in the middle of no where haha. I knew that things were going to be amazing, but this is through the roof amazing.

I hope you all are enjoying your own adventure. In this life we all have our own experiences to live out. Everyday that we wake up, we have an opportunity to make something happen. I hope you are all well, and feeling encouraged!
Be well
