The most valuable thing an artist shares is not talent but time

This is in response to @deveerei's intiative to gather Filipino Artists here on Steemit through #artguildph.

Here is my entry entitled The Art of Time. I made this during my free time here at work, so I just made use of the available materials I could find here:

Brown envelope, Whiteboard Marker, Marker Ink, Black Ballpen, and Correction Ink/White Ink

Simplified steps:

I started by drawing a half – clock with its hands made of twigs, wherein four persons are resting, doing different activities (painting the moon, painting the stars, painting the Steemit logo on a canvass, playing with birds)

I then dropped some black marker ink on it, hoping to achieve a cloudy-like texture

Afterwards, I smudged the combination of white and black inks on the clock, creating a smokey surface

Here, I emphasized the twigs and those four persons using black ballpen. I used the white ink in order to achieve some highlight effects

At this point, I smudged another black and white ink combination at the background and drawn a moon using white ink

It’s almost done! I just included some other details like the stars and birds to attain that starry-starry night look

And here it is, my first ever featured Artwork here on Steemit!

The meaning behind "The Art of Time"

Artist's Note:

The most valuable thing an artist shares is not talent but time. Everyone can have the best of talents, but not everyone has the time to show it.

This art is to pay tribute to all visual artists out there.

For choosing to pour your effort in that masterpiece instead of using your free time watching your favorite movie series, stalking your ultimate crushes on facebook, or sleeping all day. Cheers to that!

For overcoming the frustrations of not having the kind of outcome you wanted, Cheers to that!

For not giving up inspite of that can of scratches and trashes you've already made, Cheers to that!

For finishing that artwork even though you think everyone might not like it, Cheers to that!

For sharing one thing you can hardly get back -- TIME, Cheers! Cheers! Cheers to that!
