AI InkTober 09: Sun

The prompt for #InkTober Day 9 is #sun. I thought I would do a very simple drawing of a ZenTangle in a ten sided sun like thing. One can create a sun with ten points by combining two pentagrams. Here is the picture

I forgot how to draw pentagrams. I remember five pointed stars as being one of the easiest things to draw. So, I pulled out a ruler and tried to create a pentagram and realized that a star is a complex shape. IT is much more complex than stars with eight or sixteen points. I was drawing very lightly.

I gave up on the star. I decided to create a free hand ten pointed star with my prismacolors. I made the points wavy to help hide the fact that I was just drawing free hand:

Prismacolor is a wax drawing stick. I like laying ink on prismacolor because the ink usually lays down smoothly.

I decided to use a dip pen that my father had in college. It is a very old pen. I was having a hard time controlling the flow of ink. It was after midnight and I just didn't care about the picture. Anyway. This is my hand drawn image. IT is horrible.
