To My Daughter Who Turned 17 Today. OCD and CreativeCoin #Inktober 2019 Event (Days 16 and 17)
Greetings, dear Steemians
I want to dedicate today's drawing to my daughter, Vivian, who is celebrating her 17th birthday in Brazil, far from mom and dad, but with some maternal family and new friends she's just made. See OCD and CreativeCoin #Inktober contest details here. I put together the last two prompts, "wild" and "adornment".
Vivian likes photography and she has been experimenting with some artistic photos and photo editors/apps. She took one recently on a beach in Sao Luis that inspired me to do this drawing.
I wanted to combine the slightly wild appearance and scenery with her innocence and vulnerability. I took the meaning of adornment as "accesory" and she was wearing two little things that I thought might serve the purpose.
I just wanted to depict her as a powerful creature who does not still know how powerful she can be. No matter how many times she falls (and she has already experienced her quota of exilic nostalgia/depression), she can get back up and keep fighting.

Thanks, man. We do and she misses her family too. That is something we all have to work on so that feelings do not interfere with her profesional goals. At her age it is very easy to fall and quit when emotions are mixed up
