Welcome to Inktober 2018!
So excited to be a part of #inktober again this year! It's one of my favorite things about autumn, that so many great artists get their ink pens out and do daily drawings all oktober! I always find so much inspiring stuff this month and I feel the global creativity is affecting me in so many aspects!
The challenge was made in 2009 by Jake Parker, and has somehow gone viral, it's amazing! Visit the official Inktober site to learn more. I just learned about it by seeing all my friends and idols doing #inktober drawings and decided to join!
There is an official (non obligatory) prompt lists for each day of October, but I usually make my own topics, and I think I will do weekly topics for this one. However, I might let myself inspire from the prompt list:
The topic I personally has chosen for this first week of inktober is #poppies !
I don't know exactly why, but I really love poppies! I am not into opium or heroin at all, but somehow the flower drags me to it anyway! Maybe I just get drawn by it's mystic powers, that are somehow sensed just by it's presence, which is enough for me.
The powerful intense red color in early summer and the beautiful symmetric pods in fall are just pure beauty to me!
So I decided to dedicate my first week of #inktober to #poppies! It also somehow goes well with the 1st promt, which is #poisonous !
Since we are in fall, this first drawing is of the seed pod! here we go:
I thought to make poppy leaves around it, but decided not to defy nature by giving it leaves at the same time of pods, so I made some imaginary grasses instead!

Ah poppies ! That's definitely a suitable idea for the prompt "poisonous" :D A lovely drawing, @frejafri ! I like the arrangement of the leaves and flower in your piece, it almost looks like a logo design :) and the dotty dots add a nice finishing touch, as well <3
Ah fantastic! My little girl was just talking about this on the weekend and was pretty excited about inktober. She made me go with her to the art store to pick up a sketch book and was drawing a black widow spider for her Poisonous entry.
I really should get her a STEEMit account to share her art and enjoy art like yours.

Nice, I will be checking out your creations this month :) I don't think I'd manage to pull off making all these creations and then also with these specific topics lol :) But I bet you can :) Have fun!
