Day 30 : Jolt

I guess I'd get a jolt if I saw a cat dressed up running quickly along the street...

I did spot some children dressed up in costumes today but they made me smile.

This time I coloured in the cat's eyes and pumpkin with felt tips as I didn't have ink pens that colour. I completely failed to position the stick of the sweet in the right place... I don't know what happened there but it was a fast and furious while-you- can type of drawing.

Day 31 : Slice

My character here is enjoying a 'slice of the action'...

Both drawings were made in pencil first and then I added either brown or black ink pen. I don't normally use ink because I find it hard to 'control'... instead I prefer just the pencil sketching with a bit of shadowing or if I am feeling brave a bit of watercolour. I sketched really quickly and as usual I struggled to fill in more background details. That should definitely become my objective in the coming months.

I'm hoping to continue to make a drawing a day as I did after inktober last year.
