Initiative Q: short overview, invitation link with FREE crypto
There is again new crypto currency on the block: Qs by InitiativeQ. The payment method hasn't gone live so it technically has no real value.
How to sign up
It is an invite-based system. Every new member can invite a fixed amount of new members for which they will get a referral reward in Qs. Here is my personal invite link:

Value of Qs
The platform claims that it can become 1 dollar for 1 Q, but the evidence given is quite weak. At the current time it is completely unclear what it should be valued at. But you can assume that 1 dollar for 1 Q is the absolute upper bound.
Payment Network
The main claims of the creators of InitiativeQ on the payment network are
- reversibility of transactions,
- traceability of transactions,
- low transactions costs.
For the source see the InitiativeQ payment network. Reversibility and traceability are mainly there to deal with abuse, money-laundering, etc.
Privacy
When you sign up they of course collect personal data:
- collecting activity on the website (this can also include geo-location, IP etc)
- collecting the data on your invitees
- collecting transfer data
Point 3 might not be applicable at the moment since the payment network is not live. In addition, they can share data with subcontractors. Note that you are entitled to request a copy of the personal data they collect. Source: Privacy policy
Final verdict
Not sure if this will take off. But the potential reward outweighs the harm done by sharing a tiny bit of your privacy. So it is best to think of this as a free lottery ticket.

I suspect that if you want to claim Qs you will need to verify with an ID so most likely a lot of my invitees won't want that.
And most likely it will be valued at approximately 0.000001 dollar for 1 Q
