Has the Occupy Movement morphed into the Yellow Vest Movement?
The Occupy Movement was the last protest that posed a serious threat to power. Other's have either been co-opted, died out or were never a threat in the first place and often had a left/right dimension that didn't address the real issues. We know that Occupy had inspired coordinated mayoral plans in many cities to shut it down within hours of each other (at least in the USA) back in 2012. When that happened, I knew that the issues that caused it to arise in the first place had not been addressed. Therefore it was only a matter of time before the spark started again. Now it appears that the epicenter of the Yellow Vest movement, with a message similar to Occupy, which started in France over a gas tax, has morphed into a more widespread movement that is against establishment.

The mainstream news outlets are not carrying this story except in a very dismissive and negative way. When you see this phenomenon from the establishment news media, you know that this movement has real potential. So far, there are reports that this is beginning to spread throughout Europe in places such as Belgium, the Netherlands, Sweden and now Germany. The Catalan flag was also spotted at this protest in Paris (the eastern district in Spain that tried to secede from their union). The main issue appears to be the banking cartels making everyone poor through their parasitic rent seeking behavior. There is an antidote already available which practically everyone here on the steem blockchain is already aware of (cryptocurrencies).
We are coming into a generational change which is beginning to be felt, but will be full blown reality by 2021. The old guard is dying out and will soon be replaced. Hopefully it will become a more voluntary world where agreements are not created through use of force. However, there is the very real possibility (particularly in the USA and China) of being locked down in a digital panopticon for up to a generation delaying freedom for a large segment of the world. I'm waiting to see the Yellow vests show up in Canada and the USA, then I'll know for sure that this is a reincarnation of the Occupy movement wearing a new label. Hopefully this time more people will be made aware of this economic exit that is now available to disintermediate parasites...

It would be nice to break free of the shackles that are imposed upon so many people by the banking industry. Crypto has given ample opportunity for countries and regions that the US and it's allies try to impose economic "sanctions" for not complying with their whims.
