I read somewhere a little while ago that we are only one plane being downed over the South China Sea for a war with China to start. The Asia Pacific region is one of the most militarised regions in the world, however as it currently stands a conflict with the U.S and China would result as some models have shown in heavy casualities for China, but it would possibly be a prolonged war given the technology both sides possess.

And then you have Russia. Who knows where Russia comes into all of this, but if they do, it's not going to be good. The world can't afford another war, but as history has shown when things start to worsen economically a war is only a heartbeat away.
