People in general tend to behave this way. There will always be outliers. But most people are usually only willing to do things for personal gain.

(1) PROTECT YOURSELF
(2) PROTECT YOUR FAMILY
(3) PROTECT YOUR TERRITORY
Yeah that list looks pretty good.
