After 1973's Watergate issue, the director of the CIA, Richard Helms, ordered all the project files destroyed. But thanks to a mistake, they were stored as financial records instead.

I wonder if it was a mistake or someone hid them there, so they wouldn't get destroyed.

Speaking of fake news, Facebook (okay, not surprising really) is amping up its fight in trying to take a bite out of "fake news". Last time I logged in and saw my feed, right at the top was a message from FB about combating it. I wish I could find it again, but I can't.
