I carry a 9mm, 100% of the time. This would have ended quickly...a knife is not much threat in a gun fight.

As far as the firearm issue, any competent home builder can make a firearm. A machinist can make one you can't tell from the Factory made. This is what you can never remove firearms by law, any more than you can remove drugs by law.
I have never seen a gun fight, and have only had a gun trained on me once, by a sheriff, by mistake. Even though I have carried a firearm for decades, I have never had to pull it. Came close with a large knife, and once with a sword. Talked them both down, and they never knew I had a pistol....
Firearms are not the problem, this is a heart issue!
Since our Second Amendment is there to protect us from our own government (see Democide); and every time more firearms are placed in public hands, violence decreases.

I can make a shotgun using a pair of black pipes, in less than an hour. Only need to drill one hole. Just not that hard, but outlaw them and people that would never consider making a firearm will set up production lines.
I have a nice 3-D printer, and only a fool would use it to print a gun. A simple block and a hand held drill motor will make a reasonable accurate hand held pistol. 3-D printed guns are just intended to piss off liberals, and could only be possibly viable; if the printed part was used to cast a metal part.
All you get by delaying a person with Murder in his heart is a murder with a bat or a knife. The heart is the real problem here, and a madman will not wait. BUT if the Victim is carrying a defensive firearm, the bat or knife will NOT be very effective!
The government does NOT have the Constitutional Authority to restrict Firearm ownership by Citizens.
You want to know the risk our Founding Fathers worried about? Look up Democide, THAT is what they worried about when they wrote the Second Amendment. They wanted us to be armed Equally with any standing Army the Government has, to avoid Democide problems.

in germany there are many regulations on gun ownership, so the 3D printed gun was the only solution... now i see on youtube already advertisement for 3D printers printing some kind of carbon material that is much more resistant (oh lord this might get ugly at some point)...
let me give you a way of preventing democide: many countries, including germany, only allow military actions with the majority of the parliament... the after world war laws in germany are resistant to democide... i dont approve that the president in US can just say he feels like attacking the middle east just cuz he is feeling hawkish and thats that... thats the problem with bush obama and trump... and dems need to stop making obama a saint, he did some nasty foreign politics aswell...

The regulation on gun ownership was the first step by the National Socialists in your country to reach democide. I can NEVER support gun regulations, because 100% of the time, when they are successful, the government begins killing those they want dead. This has happened all over the World, across History!

President Trump has not attacked anyone, he has been reducing troop count from wars started by others, but has not attacked anyone. Obama was the worst at that, but Bush had his war side too. I would prefer that our troops were removed and brought home, especially in the Middle East. We have lost way too many good Men taking care of other people's problems....

It is actually harder to print a firearm than to build a metal one. I can do both, so I do know the problems of each. One shooting recently here was caused by a knife attacker who killed a bank guard, and used his gun. It is impossible to remove all guns....
some shootings are not based on the hate towards people, but based on current emotional states, like kids being bullied and going to a school shooting, or being rejected by their lover... ofcourse you can have an inefficient killing such as that time when there was a psychological unstable axemurderer on a german train, but since they are slow and inefficient there is more time to stop them...
germany has a successfull ban on carrying guns... guns need to be locked in volts and you need to have a licence to even own a gun (not any gun)... and im not being killed...
trump was first in bombing syria (first to attack syria directly instead of "only" funding terrorists in syria to destabilize syria)... his bombing was against international law, and he justified it based on false american media reports about the chemical attack in Douma. German and Russian media have though found evidence that there never was a chemical attack, and the OPCW report was faulty as well...
OPCW only found clorine, which is not a nerve gas that Syria is accused of, and clorine is available to be bought by anyone... while OPCW claims it took 10 days to get to the site, and hence they believe the evidence might be doctored, reporters got there instantly, discrediting their claims...
Trump and Bush is an Ass as well, but if i had to choose between Biden, Bloomberg or Trump i would rather have trump.... Bernie, Warren and Yang i would prefer...
The "justification" for someone deciding to end the life of another is a side issue that I lump into Hate as a short hand because hate is always a part, unless they are serial killers.The root problem is the decision to kill someone else, not the device used to achieve that end. There was a mass killing in China, where over 50 school kids were killed...he used a knife! We had a mass killing down south here, where he killed six people, because people didn't know he was killing; because he used a knife!

I hate to tell you this, but Chlorine gas (AKA Mustard Gas) is listed as a WMD, first used by Germany in WWI. So use of Mustard Gas is a WMD attack. Nerve gas or Chemical gas, both kill, just in different ways. According to General Asad, who helped arrange the move, Syria is where WMD's were moved to, when we took too long as a coalition, to move on Iraq.

I am in favor of the US leaving the rest of the World to take care of their own defense, but with all the defense agreements in place, today we are still being tasked with Police actions. By these same agreements, use of a WMD can be responded to by use of a WMD (which is damn stupid) to stop it. So Syria could have been hit a lot harder. I WANT US OUT of all of this, we have lost too many good Men defending those who hate us anyway.
Bernie is a Communist, and if he got in, this Republic would fail quickly. A crash here would be reflected across the entire World. Warren has Zero chance, her health care 'coverage' would bankrupt this country.
At least with President Trump, our economy is good, but the liberals are still spending us into oblivion, with record deficit spending! They spend four times what we take in, and she wants to spend More...it can NOT continue.
ALL Politicians are Asses, or they wouldn't be there. What we have to watch out for is those that do Not understand, that all things MUST be paid for!
I also believe that politicians found on the take, should be hung upon conviction! They should be held to a higher standard, not given a pass....
Our most violent places in our country, are the places with the most stringent anti gun laws. They have so many killings in LA, Chicago, and NYC; that they make the numbers for this entire country look bad! I have a 9mm in my pocket right now, not to hurt someone, but I will NOT be harmed in turn.
