The containers are 8 by 40 by 9.5 feet high! So the entire building will be 66 by 40, with an open free span of 40 by 50. It will be difficult, but not unreasonable.

There will be more actual work flattening the location first.

Why will it be more work flattening it, is it on rock? Dang how much does 40 ft containers weigh?

Nope, a slope. I will need to make a retaining wall below on the east. Then I will need a bull dozer to move the dirt, and then another retaining wall to stabilize the west side. Both retaining walls will need to be five foot high, and will be made on earth bags with a stucco surface. I will put steps in the center of each wall.

I don't know weight, but they deliver and set it up for $3000 each. The span roof is also set up in the purchase price, so the building will be 70% done before I touch it.

They set those containers up on end for you?
What are "earth bags?"

They will place them where I tell them to. I will set up a foundation of railroad ties at each location.

Earth bags are woven plastic bags full of dirt that is tamped to form a solid wall. barbed wire is placed between layers to keep it from sliding.

wow..the earth bags. Is there videos showing how they do that? who would want a dirt wall?

There are youtube videos on earth bag construction.

Some of the dirt walls in Egypt are 4,000 years old, so I guess it works....

I'll look those up but I still don't know who would want one.

The ability for one person to make a wall, at a tenth the cost that is fireproof, bulletproof, and resistant to earthquakes, is the driving reasons for this construction. If the outside is covered to avoid UV damage, the wall is effectively permanent.
